2022-2023 U18AAA RAIDERS CRITICAL DATES
CRITICAL DATES
May 2022 : Registration Opens for the 2022-2023 season on the St. Albert Minor Hockey Association website.
August 22-25, 2022: U18 AAA Raiders Enhancement Camp. Registration dates to open June 1st. (This camp is not mandatory and is intended to provide players the opportunity to get on the ice and to get comfortable with the Raiders coaching staff prior to camp)
August 26-27, 2022: Rookie Camp. This is the start of the U18 AAA selection process for all 2007 born players. Rookie camp schedule and rosters will be posted the Monday prior to camp. (From this camp a select number of players will be brought to the U18 AAA Raiders Main camp. Those not continuing on with the U18 AAA selection process will report to their respective U17 AAA Selection process)
September 2-3, 2022: Main Camp: This is the start of the U18 AAA Raiders selection process for all 2005, 2006 and selected 2007 players. Main Camp schedule and rosters will be posted the Monday prior to Camp.
September 4, 2022: Larry Mitchel Cup Blue and White inter squad game. Main camp rosters will be cut down and posted to fill two teams for the Larry Mitchell Cup. Following the game, those players continuing on with the U18 AAA Raiders selection process will be posted on the Raiders website. All further player releases will be conducted 1 on 1 with the Raiders coaching staff, until a 20 man roster is filled.
January 10, 2023: All Hockey Canada Rosters must be finalized. It is imperative to note that due to transactions and player movement in both the CJHL and WHL, the U18 AAA Raiders roster may be impacted up until January 10.
**If you are going to be missing any portion of the designated selection process to attend a Junior A or WHL camp please email both Head Coach Jack Redlick at jack.redlick@edmontonpolice.ca and Manager Russ Stevenson at russequip@shaw.ca the following information:
-Player Name
-Name of the Junior Camp(s) that you will be attending
-Known duration of the Raiders Selection Process that you will be absent **
