This is the first year that my son is trying out for the Club. He will be 15 in Aug 2010. Does he have to try out for the Major AAA first and then cuts are made or are there specific try outs in each area?
All Midget age players begin the Club tryout process at the Major AAA level. This is not mandatory, however, and your son could make arrangements in advance with the Club to simply start at the Minor AAA (15) level once they begin. In doing so, however, your son will not have the benefit of about a week of skating with players at the Major AAA level. As such, it is recommended that your son begin with the Major AAA tryouts.
How and when can i register my son for Bantam hockey for the 2010/11 hockey season. We have resided in Edmonton but now reside in St Albert.
Hockey Registration is June 1st to June 30th each year. Registration is done online unless you have played in another association. In this case you would have to fill out the forms manually (found on the SAMHA website under Registration) and bring them into the office. SAMHA would then request a transfer in the Hockey Canada Data base. Once approved by the last association they played for they become a SAMHA player.
Just wondering what the process is for registering someone in the August Bantam AAA conditioning camp? Also, is the date/location for it set yet? Is the Bantam AAA conditioning camp for all Bantam players registered for the Raiders program? Or is there a distinguishment between AAA and AA teams?
Anyone registered for Raiders Bantam hockey can apply to particpate in the conditioning camp. Dates, times and details will be posted on the Raiders website and Bantam AAA team site when they are finalized.
